How to Move Crypto from Trezor to FTX exchange?
If you have crypto funds on your Trezor device and wish to move them to your FTX exchange account, the process below is for you.
Get FTX Deposit Address
Login to your FTX account. You can register an account for free if you do not have one.
Go to the <Wallet> menu on the top right-hand corner of the homepage and select <Portfolio> from the dropdown list.
Find the cryptocurrency (e.g. Bitcoin) you want to transfer and click on the <Deposit> button.
Copy the FTX deposit address and move to the next step.
Withdraw Crypto from the Trezor device
Connect your Trezor device to your computer. Then, open the Trezor Suite app and go to the <Accounts> tab.
Select the cryptocurrency wallet you want to transfer out (i.e. withdraw) and click <Send>.
Paste the FTX deposit address here.
Specify the cryptocurrency amount and the transaction fee involved. Leave the cost to <Normal> if you are unsure.
Click <Review & Send>
Confirm Trezor Withdrawal
Trezor Suite will require you to confirm the amount, the transaction fees and the deposit address again.
You will also see the deposit address on your Trezor wallet screen. Make sure both deposit addresses are the SAME.
Click <Send>
Ensure Transaction is Confirmed
Two (2) areas you need to check;
- In Trezor Suite, go to the <Accounts> tab and select the cryptocurrency wallet (on the left screen). Next, scroll down the wallet details to see the <Transactions> section. Your actual transaction will be displayed here.
- In FTX exchange account, click the <Wallet> menu, select <Portfolio> from the dropdown menu and click on the <Deposits> tab. You will see your cryptocurrency being confirmed as a deposit transaction here.
How to Move Crypto from FTX to Trezor?
If you have crypto funds on your FTX exchange account and wish to move them to your Trezor hardware wallet, this process below is for you.
Get Trezor Deposit Address
Login to your Trezor Suite app. Go to the <Accounts> tab and select the <Receive> button.
Click on <Show full address>, and you will see your deposit address in the form of a QR code and a long string of characters. On your Trezor device, you will also see the deposit address in a long line of characters.
You must ensure that the Trezor Suite and your Trezor device have the SAME deposit address.
Copy the Trezor deposit address and move to the next step.
Withdraw Crypto from FTX
Login to your FTX account. Go to the <Wallet> tab and select <Portfolio> from the dropdown list.
Find the cryptocurrency you want to transfer (i.e. withdrawal) and click on the <Withdraw> button.
Paste the Trezor deposit address here.
Specify the cryptocurrency amount, fill in the 2FA code (if required), and click <Withdraw>.
Ensure Transaction is Confirmed
Two (2) areas you need to check;
- In FTX exchange account, click the <Wallet> menu, select <Portfolio> from the dropdown menu and click on the <Withdrawals> tab. You will see your cryptocurrency being confirmed as a withdrawal transaction here.
- In Trezor Suite, go to the <Accounts> tab and select the cryptocurrency wallet (on the left screen). Next, scroll down the wallet details to see the <Transactions> section. Your actual transaction will be displayed here.
